The other night the whole family came home pretty late. As we were closing the doors on the car we heard the sound of a clay pot falling and breaking inside the garage. Naturally, we suspected that something was in there that should not have been, since all of our pots were content and had no reason to end it all. We all went in the house and my (Tim) dad went into the garage to find a baby racoon perched on a shelf steeling some bird seed. It is funny because Delaney has a book called "Robber Racoon" and she thought it had come to life.
Realizing it was caught, it decided to just try being cute. He maintained this posture until my dad approached him with a broom to "shew" him out of the newly opened garage door (to the right in picture). When the broom came out the racoon said "EEk EEk CHHHH" which is a lesser known dialect of rodent which loosely translated means "Oh, its on and poppin' now!" He rared up into an attach position. With that we all decided discretion was the better part of valor. We left the door open and hoped he'd leave. He did.

I'm not really sure you can call a raccoon "cute," but that thing sure is cute curled up next to that pot.
