Christmas Prep

We really like to stretch out Christmas in the Bridges household. We started this last Saturday. We have a little tree that we used in the old apartment, which is now center stage in Delaney's room. Under her loft bed she has her own little world. She loved putting the tree up and then just sitting and looking at it.

I want you to first look to the left of the screen at the desk. Do you see how many little dolls there are there? Looks like chaos, right? Wrong! When we look closely, there are about 5,000 little storylines going on on top of that desk. Her doll house is just out of view to the left. Here she is putting some finishing touches on the tree. It is funny to think that this tree was almost too big for our old place. The only place we could put it was on the kitchen table!
This was taken just as Krisy got the lights going. Krisy has since, of course, obscured the cords so no one will know that electricity is being supplied to the lights.
On Sunday afternoon, Krisy and Delaney decorated some ornaments with glitter. I was heavily engaged in the inner workings of my eyelids. I took a two hour nap on Sunday.
Here she is, just thinkin' 'bout Christmas. We will put up our tree next Saturday.
We let her take a picture of her tree with the new (gulp!) camera from Krisy's parents. If you look at the top of the tree you will see the reindeer ornament that she picked out from the £-Stretcher (like our dollar store). In fact all of our Christmas decorations came from that £-Stretcher. I love that place. You can walk in with £10 and walk out with Christmas decorations and bus fare left over.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! I love stretching it out, too.
