Finally, some pictures

Here we are about to leave my parents house with the vast majority of our worldly goods fitting in two medium sized vehicles. We were feeling pretty good at this point. 24 hours and 20 minutes of sleep later, not so good.

You cannot see it very well, but here Delaney is pulling her bag into a gift shop at the Orlando airport. This pictures feels like it was taken a year ago.

Krisy working tirelessly to entertain Delaney on the flight. This is just the leg to Atlanta. Fortunately sleep came easily to Delaney on the trip from Atlanta to Edinburgh.

And here is Delaney standing guard over all of our stuff. Krisy took this while I ran to get a taxi big enough to haul all of this. No easy task. Delaney was a trooper, though. She just marched right along and did what we asked her to do.

The arrival at the apartment was a bit rough (pictures will come later, we are creating a presentation). First we unloaded all of our stuff on the curb in front where scaffolding was covering the building for painting to be done. I, the idiot, immediately touched a rail and covered my hand with wet paint. We began carrying all of these monstrous boxes into a Liliputian (sp?) flat. On the second trip up the stairs (we live in the basement) Delaney fell and hit her mouth on the stairs. So there we were, sleepless, covered in wet paint, cramped, and crying. I then began to ask, "When is the soonest flight back to Florida?"

No rest for the weary, though. We had to find a grocery store and a place to get household items. We found Edinburgh Bargain Store (the name says it all) and a grocery store called Tesco. After buying as much as we could safely carry while managing Delaney, we headed back to our matchbox to square it away.

Things are in a pattern now, but those first few hours I was going crazy thinking of living here for 3 years. God has since granted us peace. More to come in future posts.
